I was just in Marbella, Spain again and must say it’s really growing on me – such a wonderful place with mountains, old historic town, harbour, beach, summer, sun and new modern areas. This place has it all to me and there is so much to do and see. There is everything from regular tourist sites to upscale rich glam glam 🙂
The Old Town of Marbella is such a cozy little area, the typical old Spanish style with long narrow streets full of great small shops with clothes, bags, charcuterie, ice cream and local stuff. Everything is so well kept with the white houses and buildings, bushes and flowers. There are the Spanish churches and small squares full of outdoor restaurants, perfect for either lunch or dinner, perfect romantic location as well.
I love the miles long beach promenade full of people both locals and tourists enjoying a nice work out, walk or chilling at one of the many beachfront cafes and restaurants. Sitting there just stopping for a coffee overlooking the beach and ocean makes you forget about the world for a moment – such a view, to me it doesn’t get any better.
Heading out to the chic and glam area of Puerto Banus is amazing, it’s such a nice small harbour area with wonderful views, yacts, restaurants, bars and upscale shopping. Overlooking the mountains just behind Marbella is such a view and a perfect place to chill, relax and enjoy life.
There are great sports activities around like watersports, hiking, outdoor gyms, golf and tennis – it’s the outdoor lifestyle and the warm climate is prefect for it all year round. I think for someone like me who grew up in Denmark that’s known for it’s notorious bad weather and indoor life this is really a magical place and quite the opposite in such a positive way.AndaluciaCosta del SolMarbellaSpainTravelVacation
